Vinnie's NIGHTWALKER Nightmare

A few years ago i attended a vito rezza clinic (Amazing show!!) and he told us about the gino vanelli nightwalker album nightmare!!! Vito met up with vinnie in LA and vinnie took him to the place where vanelli kept all his tape (there was a roomful of tapes!!! more than 3M!!!) - vinnie told vito that the whole album took a long time and it was all cut and pasting!!!! Gino is supposed to be very hard to work with - even vito quit a potential gig!!! anyways i had just read a quote where vinnie said the hardest recording he ever did was with vanelli (Rhythm Mag interview - can be found on robertopelands site)so id thought id share the story!!! Incidentally, I have no info on what
took place in the sessions. Gino and
his brother are sticklers, though.

Sounds new to me because I've read an article with Gino who said that the recording took place in a couple of days and that some first takes were used and that Vinnie nailed it. [img]confused.gif[/img]

I was just listening to the disc with Casey Scheuerell on it, A Pauper in Paradise, and he plays some cool shit.

Casey was great w/ Ponty, too; & more than held his own at the "'91 FL Drum Expo" [along w/ Rayf Griffin, John Mover, Stv Smith, Dave Reinhardt, & Roland's Stv Fisher - a star-packed afternoon, to say the least [oh yeah, & T Aldridge was there too, w/ his tree-trunks in leathered-weathered-hand] [img]wink.gif[/img]
